Galaxy Dance Project is a Ugandan based youth project aimed to inspire & empower disadvantaged children of the community with the positive aspects of dance and hiphop. The project was founded in 2008 and provides free dance classes, workshops & events to help bring the community together, educate, promote respect and empower the youth of Uganda.

With the Galaxy Dance Project in place, now also established in Rwanda & Holland, we can provide a positive change, promote confidence and allows an expression of feeling which can only be done through dance and arts. For the disadvantaged youths , this can bring hope and meaning to their lives, teach leadership skills and give a focus and purpose, allowing for a real change for the better in our society.

Breakdance for the Community 2nd Anniversary

 Breakdance for the Community is to celebrate the 2nd Anniversary of the Galaxy Dance Project, Uganda, showing the community of Kawempe how the GDPU is supporting the youths of Uganda by teaching breakdance, developing skills, educating against involvement in drugs & gangs, raising awareness of HIV/AIDS and teaching the beautiful and positive aspects of the Hip Hop Culture. 

 The event, will be taking place at the Galaxy Dance Project Training Centre, Bombo Road, Kawempe, where Bboys and Bgirls will demonstrate their dance skills of breakdancing, popping, locking, Kenya vs Uganda Bboy battles and more.

 All you need to do is turn up so come along, support our 2nd Anniversary, bring your family and friends and experience the real power of Hip Hop. Peace & respect from the GDP Family!
